During a recent tour of Chicago, Governor Pritzker told the Associated Press that deploying the National Guard was unnecessary, countering statements made by former President Donald Trump about rising crime rates in the city. “Gov. Pritzker, along with California Governor Gavin Newsom, has stated that crime is under control in their respective states. However, surveys indicate that most Americans view crime as a major problem.
