Eastern Illinois University’s baseball team defeated Morehead State on March 27, improving their record to 14-9 while the Eagles fell to 11-15. The Panthers scored a total of 16 runs, highlighted by an offensive surge in the sixth and seventh innings that included six home runs.

The game’s momentum shifted when Eastern Illinois trailed 6-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Panthers responded with seven runs on six hits, including three home runs in that inning alone. Mike O’Conor started with a three-run homer, followed by Chris Worcester’s three-run shot and Joey Hagen’s solo home run.
