Oswego, Illinois – The Village of Oswego has released additional public records related to an alleged road rage incident involving off-duty Bolingbrook Police Officer Sal Davi. This comes after a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit was filed against both the Village of Oswego and the Village of Bolingbrook for not providing requested information.

The records were sought following reports that Officer Sal Davi admitted to brandishing a firearm during the incident. It was also alleged that he used racial slurs, as referenced on page 4 of the police report. These remarks would have been captured by Oswego Police Department body cameras, but so far, only dashcam videos have been provided and no bodycam footage has been released.

Edgar County Watchdogs is responsible for pursuing these records.
