HSHS Medical Group has announced that Jordan Handlin, FNP-C, has joined the team at HSHS Good Shepherd Rural Health Clinic in Shelbyville. Handlin is now accepting patients of all ages at the clinic located at 207 S. Pine St., Suite E.

Handlin brings experience in family practice, women’s health, and pediatrics, as well as a background in emergency and acute care. She emphasizes preventive medicine, early intervention, and patient education. According to the announcement, “Handlin believes in building trust with patients, ensuring they feel heard, respected and involved in their health decisions. Her patient care philosophy centers on compassion, education and partnership. She strives to create a welcoming environment and is passionate about helping patients achieve their best possible health.”

Handlin holds a Master of Science in nursing as a family nurse practitioner. She is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core Course, Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course and Neonatal Resuscitation Program. In addition to her certifications, she is an active member of several professional organizations.
