Horizon Health has announced that it will offer discounted health screenings at the Paris Clinic on Friday, March 13, between 7 and 9 a.m.

Leighsa Cornwell, RN, CDCES, a certified diabetes care and education specialist, will conduct blood pressure, blood sugar, and lipid panel screenings. “The cost for all three screenings is $25. For an additional $10, an A1c test can be added, which measures average blood sugar over the past two to three months. Cash, debit/credit card, and checks are accepted. Insurance will not be billed,” according to Horizon Health.

Patients planning to have their blood sugar tested are advised to fast for eight hours before their appointment. The screening involves a fingerstick procedure and results will be provided before patients leave.

Appointments are required for these screenings. Those interested can call 217-466-4228 to schedule.
