Eastern Illinois University’s women’s golf team will conclude its Spring Break competition on March 22 by participating in the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, a 54-hole tournament hosted by William & Mary.

The event is set to take place at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia. The teams will play on the River Course, which measures 6,326 yards and has a par of 71.

This marks Eastern Illinois’ third tournament of the spring season. Last weekend, the team finished eighth at the NKU Women’s Spring Fling in Vero Beach, Florida. In that event, Sophia Miller recorded consecutive rounds of 77 to tie for 16th place—her second top-20 finish this season for the Panthers. Morgan Grant opened with a round of 79 and finished tied for 33rd. Meera Upadhyay matched Miller’s low round for Eastern Illinois with an opening round of 77.

Upadhyay currently leads the Panthers with a season stroke average of 81.3, closely followed by Mya Mirocha at 81.4.

The field for the William & Mary Kingsmill Intercollegiate includes host William & Mary along with Eastern Illinois, Dartmouth, Holy Cross, LeMoyne, Long Island University, Maryland Eastern Shore, Monmouth University, Mount St. Mary’s University, Navy, North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina Central University, Radford University, Sacred Heart University and Towson University.
