Eastern Illinois University announced on March 30 the schedule of athletic events taking place from March 30 to April 12, 2026. The university’s teams will compete in a range of sports including softball, baseball, outdoor track, beach volleyball, women’s and men’s soccer, men’s and women’s golf, and volleyball.
The schedule outlines key matchups for EIU’s student-athletes as they enter a busy spring season. These events provide opportunities for students and fans to support their teams both at home venues such as Williams Field, Linder Courts, Lakeside Field, Gardella Court at McAfee Gym, and Frost Field at Coaches Stadium as well as on the road.
Highlights during the week of March 30 include softball traveling to Indiana State on Tuesday; baseball facing Tennessee Tech starting Thursday; outdoor track competing at the ISU Pacesetter meet Friday and Saturday; beach volleyball hosting Lindenwood Friday; women’s soccer playing Quincy in an exhibition game Friday; and several home contests in softball and baseball throughout the weekend.
Looking ahead to April 6-12, EIU athletes will participate in tournaments such as men’s golf at Murray State Racer Intercollegiate beginning Monday. Volleyball faces McKendree on Monday evening. The week continues with more baseball games against Northern Illinois and Southern Indiana, outdoor track meets at Illinois Deca-Jam later in the week with times to be announced (TBA), multiple beach volleyball matches in Clarksville, Tennessee against teams like Tennessee Tech and Missouri State over Friday and Saturday. Additional competitions include men’s soccer versus Illinois Central on Saturday afternoon during spring season play.
