Eastern Illinois University’s men’s golf team will take part in the Morehead State Keene Trace Collegiate in Lexington, Kentucky, on March 24. The event marks the Panthers’ second competition of the spring season.

The tournament is a one-day, 36-hole event held at the Keene Trace Golf Club’s Champion Trace Course. The course measures 7,117 yards and features a par-72 layout.

Jack Roche was Eastern Illinois’ top finisher during their first spring event in February at the New Orleans Gulf Coast Collegiate, where he placed 34th with a score of 235. Luke Watson, who is from Lexington, currently holds the best season stroke average for the Panthers at 75.1. He is followed by Ian Hollander and Alex Siatos, each with an average of 76.1.

The field for this week’s tournament includes teams from Morehead State (the host), Eastern Illinois, Centre College, Mount Saint Joseph, Pikeville, Transylvania University, and Western Illinois University. Additional individual competitors will participate from Anderson University, Kentucky, Miami (Ohio), and Xavier.

The event provides another opportunity for Eastern Illinois golfers to build on their early spring performances as they continue their season.
