Former President Bill Clinton testified before the United States Oversight Committee this week, stating under oath that Illinois Governor JB Pritzker was his travel partner. The statement surfaced during a deposition related to Jeffrey Epstein.
Following Clinton’s remarks, State Representative Chris Miller (R-Hindsboro) released a statement calling for Illinois Democrats to move House Bill 5723 out of the Rules Committee. “JB Pritzker appears to know a lot more about the actions from Bill Clinton and Jefferey Epstein than what he is telling the public,” said Miller. “I find it hard to believe Thomas Pritzker steps down as the executive chairman of Hyatt Hotels because of his ties to Epstein, but JB Pritzker claims he’s never heard of Jefferey Epstein until 2019. The Democrats filed HB5723, a bill that would allow Pritzker to appoint members to a special commission to investigate Epstein’s connections to Illinois and now they are trying to kill it. The Governor should be honest with the American people, but he continues to prove to be a perpetual liar.”
Miller was elected as a Republican representative in 2023 for Illinois’ 101st House District, succeeding Reggie Phillips. He represents parts of Coles County and portions of Champaign, Douglas, and Vermilion Counties along the I-57 corridor.
