Casey Westfield Community Unit School District 4C Board of Education met Feb. 22.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

1. Roll Call _7:00_PM 

2. Recognize visitors: Individual visitors are allowed to bring up topics for Board discussion, information, or consideration at this time and/or indicate agenda items they may be interested in addressing later in the meeting. Complaints or certain situations involving specific employees or students are not to be addressed in open session of the Board meeting. The Board may hear complaints or certain situations involving specific employees or students in closed session. The Board president shall determine whether a situation requires addressing in closed session.

3. Approve Consent Agenda

a. Minutes of the regular meeting on January 25, 2021;

b. Destruction of closed session records 18 months and older as authorized by Board Policy 220 and 220-E1;

c. Current invoices for payment and review of the financial and budgetary reports; 

d. 2021-2022 School Calendar;

e. Course Description Book – tabled;

f. TRS Supplemental Savings Plan Agreement (Deferred Comp) as required by law

3b. Resolution extending Clark County Tax Abatements

4. Board and administrator reports

a. FOIA request from Illinois Retired Teachers Association for names of retiring certified staff. Received 2/2/21 via email and provided response via email the same day.

b. Covid numbers are at an all time low in district.

c. Boiler replacement at grade school is complete.

d. Bond interest is very low at this time and will be looked at for bond consolidation. 

e. Staff members have received their first round of Covid-19 vaccinations. 

f. High school sports are back in progress and Jim reports that the kids are enjoying it and so far the Covid numbers have not seen a spike. Precautions are in place and being observed.

5. Approve adjourning to closed session under c1 (employment), c21 (discussion of closed meeting minutes) of section 5 ILCS 120/1 et seq. of the Illinois Open Meetings Act _7:09__PM
