Adam Niemerg, a Republican serving in the Illinois State House since 2023 and representing the state’s 102nd House District, has recently posted several statements on social media addressing immigration policy and state legislation.

On March 23, 2026, Niemerg wrote, “Sanctuary policies must END! As republican spokesmen on immigration the only bills I see are ENABLING illegal aliens! This is a tragic loss of life and never should have happened!” On the same day, he followed up with another post: “If you’d let @DHSgov and @DonaldTrump do their jobs this would not of happened! @GovPritzker shame on you!”

The following day, on March 24, 2026, Niemerg commented on legislative developments in Illinois by stating: “Illinois Democrats just passed a bill for HUMAN COMPOSTING out of Committee! We’ve gone insane!”

Niemerg was elected to his current position after replacing former state representative Darren Bailey. His recent comments reflect ongoing debates over sanctuary policies in Illinois as well as new legislative proposals such as human composting.
