One Clay County resident under 20 years of age tested positive for COVID-19 on March 24, according to numbers being reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
In total, there have been 197 positive cases reported in Clay County among residents under 20, accounting for 13.6 percent of all cases in the county. Through March 24, Clay County has reported a total of 1,452 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, 42 of which have ended with the victim’s death.
