Village of Noble Village Board met March 25.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Village Council met on the above date at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order and present were Brad Kessler, Tresa Hundley, Carl Klingler, Paul Summers, Gary Ulm, Janet Pflaum, Carol O’Dell and Ashley Pipher.

Opened with silent prayer and followed by reciting Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to approve March 11, 2024, minutes. Seconded by Ashley Pipher. All voting Aye.

The Board members were asked to turn in any new projects for the new fiscal year budget.

The Village is asking for all ground decorations to be removed from the Noble Cemetery by March 29.

The Village Hall will be closed at noon on Good Friday March 29.

An Easter Egg Hunt will be held in Noble Park on March 30 at 2p.m.

A cleanup is scheduled in the Village for April 24.

The Village will be flushing hydrants on April 8 & 9.

There will be a walk thru at the Noble Park restroom on March 28 at 1:00p.m.

The Street Committee will schedule a meeting with Mike Bridges to look over the streets for any future work.

Mayor Kessler mentioned the Noble Fire Dept. is interested in purchasing from the Village of Noble, the substation property at 106 E. North Ave. Mayor Kessler had previously mentioned that this would be used for a new fire department building and was recently told the area would be used for training and extra parking space. The village will be able to use the parking space for events in the park. Motion made by Carl Klingler to consider/approve selling the village owned property at 106 E. North Ave. to the Noble Fire Department contingent upon the other properties at 104 E. North Ave, 112 N. Noble Ave. and 116 E. North Ave. being purchased/acquired by the Noble Fire Department. Seconded by Paul Summers. Roll Call Vote Taken, All voting Aye.

Motion made by Gary Ulm to donate $300.00 to the Richland County High School After-Prom Committee. Seconded by Carl Klingler. Roll Call Vote Taken, All voting Aye.

Mayor Kessler attended the FEMA Flood Map Open House for Richland County and informed the Board that Noble was not in the area map (didn’t pertain to Noble).

A resident at 443 Judy St. contacted the village hall regarding her ditch that has had draining issues for years. Mayor Kessler asked Trustee Ulm to have Mike Bridges look at this and maybe inquire about having the ditch transited.

Motion made by Carl Klingler to pay bills. Seconded by Ashley Pipher. All voting Aye.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to adjourn the meeting at 7:20 p.m. Seconded by Carl Klingler. All voting Aye.

The meeting adjourned until April 8, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Noble Village Hall.
