Call to Order: 5:30 p.m.

1. Motion Brooks, seconded by Dunahee, to approve the Consent Agenda: Minutes of the previous meeting, August 16, 2021, Bills, Statement of Activity Accounts, Treasurer’s Report. Approval of the extension of emergency paid sick leave under FFCRA through September 30, 2021. Roll call: Unanimous

Recognized Joanie Thompson on her retirement.

NEW BOARD BUSINESS

Recognized 2020 girls Tennis State Qualifiers

1. Motion Porter, seconded by Wiley, to suspend the regular meeting at (5:45 p.m.). to conduct public hearing for the 2021-2022 School District Budget. Unanimous

2. The Board of Education held a public hearing for the 2021-2022 School District Budget.

3. Motion Dunahee, seconded by Brooks to return to regular session at (5:47 p.m.)

4. Motion Wiley, seconded by Porter, to adopt the 2021-2022 School District Budget. Roll Call: McCoy, yes; Brooks, yes; Wiley, yes; Dunahee, yes; Porter, yes.

5. Motion Brooks, seconded by Dunahee, to approve the administrative and teacher salary reports. Roll Call: Porter, yes; McCoy, yes; Brooks, yes; Wiley, yes; Dunahee, yes.

6. Motion Leib, seconded by Wiley, to approve and adopt on second reading revisions to Board policies 1:10, 1:20, 1:30, 2:10, 2:20, 2:130, 2:240, 3:30, 5:10, 5:30, 6:100, 6:145, 6:160, 6:170, 6:235, 6:255, 6:260, 7:220, 7:230, 7:280, 8:90. Roll Call:

7. Committee Reports: The Security Committee met on September 2nd, the Evaluation Committee met on September 3rd.

8. Administrator Reports:

Mrs. Pearce: Finished Benchmark testing/Title I and RTI up and going, scheduling Parent Teacher Conferences. Picture day and Fall parties.

Mrs. Carder: Lyceum on Thursday/ 3rd grade going to Farm Safety Day on Friday and preparing for Parent Teacher Conferences.

Mrs. Leonard: Pups Den on 9/17, Baseball and Softball on Thursday and Saturday for Regionals.

Mr. Pearce: Talked to students planning on school sponsored outdoor dance on 10/23. Volleyball finished 3rd in tournament.

Hackney- Highlighted the upcoming ROE Inspection on October 7th.

Parent Teacher Conferences and Appleknocker is 9/25/21.

9. Motion Wiley, seconded by Porter, to approve the unpaid medical leave for Brandi Steele from August 19, 2021 through November 30, 2021. Roll Call: Brooks, yes; McCoy, yes; Dunahee, yes; Wiley, yes; Porter, yes.

10. Motion Dunahee, seconded by Brooks, to employ Jordan Kessler as transportation aide for the 2021-2022 school year effective September 7, 2021. Roll Call: McCoy, yes; Brooks, yes; Wiley, yes; Porter, yes; Dunahee, yes.

11. Motion Porter, seconded by Wiley, to approve Leah Stanford and Mike Stanford as volunteer coaches for cross country for the 2021 season. Roll Call: Dunahee, yes; Brooks, yes; Porter, yes; McCoy, yes. Wiley, yes.

12. Motion Brooks, seconded by Dunahee, to accept the resignation of Elizabeth Williams as a paraprofessional effective September 1, 2021. Roll Call: Porter, yes; Dunahee, yes; Wiley, yes; McCoy, yes; Brooks, yes.

13. Motion Wiley, seconded by Porter, to approve the intent to retire December 31, 2021 submitted by Brad Yates. Roll Call: Brooks, yes; McCoy, yes; Wiley, yes; Dunahee, yes; Porter, yes.

14. Motion Dunahee, seconded by Brooks, to approve the intent to retire at the end of the 2024-2025 school year submitted by John Winters. Roll Call: Porter, yes; Dunahee, yes; McCoy, yes; Wiley, yes; Brooks, yes.

15. Motion Porter, seconded by Brooks, to adjourn the meeting at (6:35 p.m.)
