Wabash FPD responds to 17 fires in 2018

Wabash Fire Protection District responded to 21 calls in 2018 - 25 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Wabash included 17 fires - four structure fires, five vehicle fires and eight other fires.

In all, the department saw $197,800 in fire loss - or about $11,635 per fire.

The department also received four false calls.
