Q1 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Richland County?

There were four offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Richland County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that two men and two women were released in Richland County. The median age of the parolees was 41. The youngest parolee was a 28-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 63-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Otis C. Mack. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2017 when he was 61 years old. He is now 63.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Richland County municipality.
