Marshall City Council met Nov. 27.

Here is the minutes provided by the Council:

The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order at 6:30 P.M., with Mayor John Trefz presiding. Upon roll call, all council members were present except Pearce. Pearce was absent.

Wallace made a motion, seconded by Smitley to approve the minutes of previous meeting as written.

Upon roll call, all council members present voted for. Motion carried.

Strait made a motion, seconded by Green to Review and Discuss the Collection, Treasurer, Investment, Police and Building Reports for October 2017. Upon roll call, all council members present voted for. Motion carried.

Marshall Main Street gave their yearly update

Strait made a motion, seconded by Smitley to approve Pay Estimate #2 from Dave Workman in the amount of $27,789.74 for the MFT Pavement Striping Project. Upon roll call, all council members present voted for. Motion carried.

Green made a motion, seconded by Tharp to approve Pay Estimate #1 from Kieffer Bros. Construction Co. Inc. in the amount of $33,745.50 for the North 5th Street sidewalk project and expending $19,975.00 of MFT Funds. Upon roll call, all council members present voted for. Motion carried.

Strait made a motion, seconded by Smitley, to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 2017-O-26, an Ordinance Rezoning the Wellum Property. Upon roll call, all council members present voted for. Motion carried.

LeFever made a motion, seconded by Strait, to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 2017-O-27, an Ordinance Amending Chapter 10. Alcoholic Beverages. Article II. Section 10-37 Classification, Fees. (a) (2) with the correction of the fee being $500.00. Upon roll call, all council members present voted for. Motion carried.

LeFever made a motion, seconded by Smitley to approve the payment of bills in the amount of $139,565.03. Upon roll call, all council members present voted for. Motion carried.

LeFever made a motion, seconded by Tharp to adjourn. Upon roll call, all council members present voted for. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:00 P.M.
