1) *Minutes: Regular City Council Meeting for September 5, 2017.

Auditing Claims:

2) *Payroll: Regular Pay Period for September 2, 2017.

3) *Bills Payable: September 22, 2017.

4) *Comptroller's Report: August 2017.

Action Items:

5) *Raffle License: CASA of East Central Illinois at 10:00 p.m. on September 30, 2017, at the Brick House Restaurant to raise funds to support CASA programs.

6) *Raffle License: Camp New Hope Inc. at Baker Field, Saturday, September 16, 2017, to raise funds to support Camping Experiences for Individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities.

7) *Proclamation: Recognizing October 8-14, 2017 as Fire Prevention Week.

8) Resolution: Approving Street Closure for Charleston Challenge 40-Mile Relay Foot Race on November 4, 2017.

9) Resolution: Authorizing Temporary Street Closure for "Christmas in the Heart of Charleston" Celebration.

10) Resolution: Authorizing Street Closure for EIU Homecoming 2017--2.5K Race.

11) Ordinance: Amending Title 1-8B-8(24): Authorities and Duties of Assistant Fire Chief.

12) Ordinance: Amending Title 1-11-5: Contracts and Purchasing.

13) Ordinance: Approving Permanent Drainage Easement at 1027 7th Street.

14) Ordinance: Amending Title 7-4-3: Fishing and Hunting: Rescinding Bow Fishing.

15) Ordinance: Approving Purchase of Right of Way at 784 Tenth Street.

This portion of the City Council meeting is reserved for anyone wishing to address Council. The Illinois Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/1) mandates NO action shall be taken on matters not listed on this agenda and Council is not required to take any action or discuss the matter further. Typically, however, the Mayor and Council may direct staff to further investigate the matter or suggest that the matter be brought forward for action on a subsequent agenda. The Open Meetings Act allows the Council to pass rules concerning the manner of public comment, and our Council has adopted rules for that purpose. Copies of the rules may be found at the Clerk’s office. We request that you sign up with the Clerk ahead of time and provide the City Clerk with your name & address before speaking in order to assist us with the orderly conduct of the Public Comment portion of the meeting; however, neither signing up nor giving your name and address is a mandatory prerequisite for you to address the Council. Please speak into the microphone; limit presentation to 3 minutes; and avoid repetitious comments. Thank you.
