The deadline for nominations for the EIU Homecoming Parade Grand Marshal closes Oct. 3.
To be selected as grand marshal, an individual must exhibit civic involvement, personal achievements and contributions to EIU.
In addition to presiding over the parade, set for Oct. 22, the grand marshal will also take an active role in homecoming events and activities that include the football game and tailgating event.
Those wishing to nominate someone to serve as the grand marshal do not have to be affiliated with EIU. The deadline for nominee submission is 4:30 p.m. today.
