73 percent of Robinson High School's 2015 graduating class enrolled in college

Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) records show that 73 percent of Robinson High School's 2015 graduating class enrolled in college within 12 months of graduation.

The 2015 state average for students in public schools was 70 percent.

For RHS, its college enrollment rate marks an improvement over 2014, when 71.0 percent of its graduates chose post-secondary education.

The data, collected by the National Student Clearinghouse, includes two and four year colleges.

Enrollment at RHS in 2015 was 480. 105 (21.88 percent) were seniors.

Also according to ISBE, 51.0 percent of RHS seniors were "college ready" in 2015, versus an average of 46 percent statewide.

All students who score a 21 on the ACT qualify as "college ready."

RHS students did better on math (49.0 percent) and English (62.7 percent) and worse on science (31.4) and reading (39.2).

Only 26.5 percent of RHS students were college ready in all four subjects, according to ISBE.
