Shelbyville CUSD #4 education board approves purchase of 22 iPads

The Shelbyville Community Unit School District #4 board of education met Feb. 18 to approve the purchase of 22 iPads for $8,238 from the Title I grant programs for Main Street and Kindergarten Center.

The motion was passed with all members voting yes.

The board of education also approved the seniority list for Certified and Support Staff; approved the bid from Craftmasters Inc. for $4,450 to install the chimney cap at the high school; approved the bid from Alfred's Floor Service for $4,260 for cleaning and sealing both Moulton and high school gym; approved the bid from Howell Paving for $18,634.28 for oil and chip of high school parking lot; and approved the 2016-2017 school calendar as presented.

The Shelbyville education board generally holds regular monthly meetings at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria at Shelbyville High School, 1001 W. N. Sixth St., Shelbyville. Parents and members of the community are invited to attend board meetings and are offered an opportunity to address the board at regular board meetings during the audience portion of the meeting. 

Persons with items to bring before the board should submit a request to the superintendent at least two weeks before the board meeting
