The city council for the City of Charleston recently met to approve the city budget for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 2016, and ending April 30, 2017.

The council also announced the mayor's reappointment of Lori Banks, Craig Cunningham and Bob Wiseman to three-year terms on the Charleston Carnegie Library board of trustees.
