Citywide spring cleanup announced for Charleston

The City of Charleston has announced that the city plans to provide dumpsters at no cost, as part of a spring cleanup.

This change in service will go into effect on May 14.

As a result of this change of service, the following items will not be accepted: building materials or construction debris exceeding one cubic yard, such as drywall, shingles, dirt, brick, concrete, asphalt and rock; tires; liquids of any kind; car parts exceeding one cubic yard; burnt materials, or ashes of any kind; florescent light tubes; and landscape waste.
