The Arcola CUSD 306 building committee recently reviewed various classroom and parking options.

The Arcola Community Unit School District (CUSD) 306 building committee convened on Feb. 3 to evaluate updates on several current building matters.

Superintendent Tom Mulligan, Head of Maintenance Ken Vogt and board members Traci Watson, Robert Arrol, Jim Crane and Ginger Keilhorn were in attendance to review specific projects and plans for respective handling, either internally by the district or externally via requests for proposals.

In ongoing projects, the group discussed a project involving a special education classroom, a design for the gymnasium floor and alternatives for vehicle parking. The committee talked about which project categories would and should be included in the RFP for performance contract.

Additionally, participants emphasized the need for clear performance bond language in the RFP and agreed to recommend approving the release of the RFP at a board meeting scheduled for the following week.
